For the several years Relic has hosted hundreds of parties in our back room. The vast majority take place in sectioned off spaces of the back room, the rental fees are generally low, because we depend on the guests purchasing all drinks from us including sodas. Its not ok to bring outside drinks besides coffee. We highly recommend coming down and seeing the space before booking
Birthdays, Weddings, Celebrations of Life, Holiday Parties, Retirement Parties, Going away Parties, Class Reunions. We are no longer supporting showers of any kind, no stag parties, no childrens parties are currently allowed
Parties can have 1 tab secured by a credit card, or have all their guests pay individually. With a party tab, guests can either simply order their drink and put it on the tab or the party organizers can use tickets (provided by Relic) and give them to their guests which are used to "pay" for drinks. This allows party organizers to issue say 2 tickets per person because they only want to pay for that many drinks. We keep track using our point of sale of the total drink spend. The vast majority of parties will hit our minimum drink spend, however if you are unable the difference must be paid by the event organizer
Free bottled water is included with every party, and every party must organize their own food as our kitchen is too small for large groups. Most people seem to do pizza (Plainvile Pizza, or DMaries in Plainville are most popular delivery options), but people have done everything from full caterers to food trucks to bringing in trays with sterno and crock pots, there are plugs. We have 5 tables that guests can use to put their food on, guests often bring table cloths as we do not have them. We also do not supply paper plates or napkins.

Guests can decorate with balloons, easels, slideshows, flowers, candles, and other things, however, please no confetti, we have had major problems with this. The party organizers often come early and decorate, please clear this with relic staff, its totally OK to rearrange the furniture in your sectioned off space however you feel (though you'll need to put it back at end). Often we can help find an extra side table or whatever if you need it.
The party organizer can bring his/her own music speaker. Internet is available. DJ setups tend to be too big and over power the area, so we cant allow them, bands are just not possible, A single person with guitar and speaker can work. Parties must conform to the hours we allow parties. Those hours are currently TH,FR 3 to 10 pm and SAT 1 to 10 pm, Sundays 1 to 6 pm, Your booking will include a time slot that will account for any setup or decoration time that you think you might need. We can open at 11am on Saturdays for setup if desired.
Parties need to start wrapping up about 30 minutes before ending time. Relic staff can help empty large trash cans, provide more contractor bags, and take all pizza boxes etc no problem. However, decorations, flowers, serving trays, chafing dishes, large displays need to be taken down by the customer and taken away by the end of the party so Relic staff can clean the area. Furniture and other tables etc that have been moved or dramatically altered by party organizers need to be restored to original locations.
These parties take place in the back room to the right when you walk in. There is seating for 25 to 35 depending on table arrangement, and more than enough physical space. We find at most parties there are a decent amount of people who mingle and are standing. There is one bathroom right there and another in the bar area near where drinks are ordered. We put a low separator to indicate this is your party space and keep it semi-private, but this is not a walled in completely private room.
`Deposit is mostly non-refundable. Exceptions include weather, if the weather sucks because of snow, hurricane etc the deposit is refundable.
